Endemol Shine Boomdog Signs World-Class Mentalists and Magicians
Studio Developing Unscripted Series With Mentalist Santiago Michel and Magicians Joe y Moy
September 9, 2020 - Endemol Shine Boomdog, a division of Endemol Shine North America, has signed a handful of celebrated illusionists and is developing several potential unscripted series with them, it was announced today by Alvaro Godoy, Head of Development, Endemol Shine Boomdog.
The studio is developing content with acclaimed mentalist Santiago Michel, who is currently in residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and the Mexican magician duo team of Joe y Moy, who are behind the popular Más Que Magia show that has traveled the world.
“We are aware of the tremendous interest that both the Mexican and Latin audiences have in magic and illusionism and we want to support new and exciting talent in this space,” says Godoy. “Just like Santiago Michel and Joe & Moi have been doing for live audiences, we want to show the entire Latin world that anything and everything is possible!”

Michel’s unique blend of mind-reading and comedy has mesmerized crowds around the world. His current Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood, Ilusión Mental, is the first all-Spanish permanent show on the famed Vegas strip. Michel has widely introduced mentalism as an entertainment genre to Spanish-speaking audiences worldwide and offers his audiences a rare and compelling glimpse into the supernatural.
Joe y Moy’s act Más Que Magia, has been watched by millions on major stages all around the world. The duo has performed on over 25 TV shows in Mexico and the U.S. and are the only magicians in the world that have presented their show inside a plane, 30,000-feet in the air. With a unique performance style full of amazement, Joe y Moy’s audiences feel, experience and live "more than magic."
Endemol Shine Boomdog currently produces such hit series as MasterChef Mexico (Azteca), Mira Quien Baila (Television/Univision), Quién es la Máscara (Televisa/Univision) Nicky Jam: El Ganador (Netflix), LOL (Amazon) and Me Caigo de Risa (Televisa). Upcoming series include Súbete a mi Moto (Amazon) and Tu Cara Me Suena (Univision).
Earlier this year, Endemol Shine Boomdog announced it had signed a bounty of top comedic talent and was developing a slate of original new scripted and unscripted comedy series. The studio signed award-winning actors/comedians Fran Hevia (Se Rentan Cuartos), Alex Fernandez (LOL), Michelle Rodriguez (LOL, Me Caigo de Risa), Ricardo O’Farrill (LOL) and El Diablito (Se Busca Comediante, LOL).
Boomdog is also home to Latin superstar actress Kate del Castillo (La Reina del Sur) who has an overall deal to develop, produce and star in original scripted and unscripted series with the studio. Acclaimed producer Gaston Pavlovich and his Mexico City-based production company Fabrica de Cine also have a development and production deal with the studio.
