Endemol Shine North America and True Entertainment Sign Left Hook Media To Overall Producing Deals

June 8, 2016 - Endemol Shine North America and its subsidiary production company True Entertainment have each signed unscripted team Left Hook Media to overall production deals, it was announced today by Cris Abrego and Charlie Corwin, co-CEOs of Endemol Shine North America and co-Chairmen, Endemol Shine Americas and Steven Weinstock and Glenda Hersh, Co-Presidents and Co-CEOs, of True Entertainment and Endemol Shine’s Original Media.

Left Hook Media, founded by hit unscripted producers Scott Teti and Matt Odgers, is already in production with the Endemol Shine North America team on the upcoming MTV series “Almost Impossible Game Show.” Left Hook has also paired with True Entertainment for the upcoming series “Summer House” on Bravo, which already airs several True series, including the top-rated “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

Teti and Odgers formerly produced top unscripted hits like “Flavor of Love,” “Rock of Love” and “I Love New York” while at Endemol Shine-owned subsidiary 51 Minds Entertainment, which was initially co-founded by Abrego.

“I’m personally thrilled to have both Scott and Matt back working with me and with our extended team here at Endemol Shine,” says Abrego. “They are two of the most creative, hard-working guys in this business and they’ve produced nearly every type of unscripted show imaginable. And they are already off and running with several series coming down the pike including ‘Almost Impossible Game Show’ at MTV.”

True Entertainment’s Weinstock and Hersh said, “Scott and Matt have a great history producing edgy and diverse shows that tap into pop culture in a fun and unique way. We’re excited to work with them on ‘Summer House’ and other series that push the envelope across a range of genres.”

Added Teti and Odgers, “We’re incredibly excited to be working with Cris again and everyone at Endemol Shine North America, as well as Steven and Glenda at True Entertainment. With the vast amount of experience, insight and resources these companies provide, we really couldn’t have hoped for a better place to launch Left Hook Media.”

Founded by Teti and Odgers, Left Hook Media is an entertainment company dedicated to creating and producing bold and comedic hits that come from areas you’d never expect, as well as pioneering the future of television.

Odgers began his early career producing hit shows like “Blind Date” and “Surreal Life,” while Teti began as an editor on hits like “Growing up Gotti” and “The Simple Life,” before moving into producing himself.

Teti first met Odgers in post production on the hit series “Flavor of Love” (for 51 Minds), with Teti editing and Odgers working as Co-EP. That meeting spawned a producer collaboration that would deliver a number of greatest hits, including the continued “Flavor of Love” success, “Rock of Love,” “I Love New York,” “Real Chance of Love” and “I Love Money.”

In 2012, both Teti and Odgers left 51 Minds. Odgers joined A. Smith and Company as Senior Vice President, producers of “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmares.” Teti served as an executive producer on numerous unscripted productions, including the number one cable series “Duck Dynasty.”

Now Teti and Odgers have rejoined forces and established Left Hook Media. With a bent toward comedy, Left Hook Media is focused on creating formats and docu-series with big characters, loud moments and innovative ideas for both television and the web.
