Russ Buchholz, Senior Vice President, Creative Affairs, Endemol Shine Studios

Russ Buchholz serves as Senior Vice President, Creative Affairs, Endemol Shine Studios, since May 2015. Buchholz joined Endemol Studios in May 2012 as Vice President, Development.

Buchholz has been involved in all aspects of scripted development and production including such series as "Low Winter Sun" (AMC), "Red Widow" (ABC), "Kingdom" (DirecTV) and “I'm Dying Up Here” (Showtime), an hour-long comedy set to launch later this year. Buchholz has been primarily responsible for driving the development pipeline and selling scripted projects to broadcast, cable and digital networks, which include sold projects to Amazon, AMC, Bravo, Cinemax, HBO, Lifetime, MTV, NBC, Showtime, Sundance, SyFy, USA, and WGN. He has also led the group’s effort to secure third party formats and other intellectual property including books, articles, life rights, independent films, plays, etc.

Prior to joining the company, Buchholz served as a producing partner at Steve Stark Productions, where he developed and produced "Fairly Legal" (USA) as a Co-Executive Producer for two seasons. Before joining Steve Stark Productions, Buchholz served as Vice President of Creative Affairs for Kelsey Grammer's production company, Grammnet Productions, which produced "Medium" (NBC/CBS), "Girlfriends" (The CW) and "The Game" (The CW). He began his career as a creative executive at Werner-Gold-Miller, where he aided in the development and production of series "Twenty Good Years" (NBC), "Happy Hour" (FBC), and "The Life & Times of Tim" (HBO).

Before his career in entertainment, Buchholz was an investment banker for Morgan Stanley and UBS Warburg in San Francisco and London where he advised public and private technology companies on strategic alternatives involving equity financings and mergers & acquisitions. Buchholz holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
