Mauricio Piccone serves as Executive Vice President of Endemol Shine Boomdog
Endemol Shine Latino; which oversees all Spanish-language sales and development in both the U.S. and Mexico, as well as all Spanish and Portuguese-language operations across Latin America, including newly launched studio Endemol Shine Boomdog, which produces original content for both the U.S. Hispanic and Mexican markets. Endemol Shine Boomdog has three upcoming series with Telemundo, including the first-ever Spanish-language version of MasterChef in the U.S. (MasterChef Latino), as well as scripted series Nicky Jam: El Ganador and unscripted digital series Love Clicks 24/7 for Telemundo.com. The studio just finished a successful season of Mira Quién Baila (“Look Who's Dancing”) for Univision and is set to produce Tu Cara Me Suena (Your Face Sounds Familiar) for Univision, as well.
Endemol Shine Boomdog is also developing a scripted drama series based on the boy band Menudo and another based on Chris Perez’s best-selling book To Selena With Love, which tells the late Latin music superstar’s love story through the eyes of her husband.
Piccone, who is based in Miami and reports to Endemol Shine Latino President Laurens Drillich, oversees all production and sales initiatives for the division in both Mexico and U.S. (Hispanic).
Piccone originally joined Endemol in 2010 as Senior Vice President of Endemol Latino. He recently oversaw the launch of the division’s first scripted series in the U.S., “El Vato” for NBC Universo (currently in production for its second season) and he’s overseeing production of ES Latino’s upcoming series based on Puerto Rican urban music star Nicky Jam for Telemundo.
Piccone has extensive production experience, having overseen production of numerous successful series in both Mexico and the U.S. including Mira Quien Baila (Univision & Televisa), Yo Me Llamo (Telemundo), A Todo O Nada (Azteca), Impractical Jokers (Turner) and Q’Viva featuring Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony (Univision).
Piccone joined Endemol Latino from Endemol Mexico in 2002, where he served as an Executive Producer on regional Spanish-language versions of Fear Factor, Blind Faith and All You Need is Love. Prior to Endemol Mexico, Piccone was a showrunner/executive producer on Mexico’s Next Top Model and Ya Es Mediodia en China for Sony Entertainment Television, as well as on Discovery’s Rides Latin American.
Piccone has a degree in Communications from Mexico’s Universidad Del Nuevo Mundo and now resides in Miami, Florida.
