Endemol Shine Beyond Signs Top Music Producers & Creators To Development Deals
April 21, 2017 - Endemol Shine Beyond USA has signed a number of industry-leading music producers and directors as part of its expanded push into original digital content, it was announced today by Bonnie Pan, President, Endemol Shine Beyond USA.
Endemol Shine North America’s digital studio is developing new scripted and unscripted content with a range of top industry creators including host & producer Oliver Trevena (“Young Hollywood”, “JoyRide,” “Ollywood”) and music video & feature film directors Dave Meyers (Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble,” Missy Elliott’s “I’m Better,” and Endemol Shine Beyond’s “The Keys of Christmas”) and Kyle Newman (Taylor Swift’s “Style,” Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” and “Fanboys”).
Endemol Shine Beyond USA is also developing original programming with renowned production designer and producer Alexander Delgado (Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic”, Lady Gaga tour), and breakout documentarian/director Michael Parenteau (“The Search for Freedom”). Lauren Selig and Peter Martin, who are behind Endemol Shine Beyond’s upcoming VR series “Capturing Everest” for Sports Illustrated’s SI.com and Life VR platform, are developing additional VR projects for Endemol Shine Beyond.

Best known as the host of celebrity talk show “Young Hollywood,’” Oliver Trevena is developing multiple projects with ES Beyond, including an unscripted music project with Alex da Kid, a dance project with Millennium Dance Complex (“DanceHouse”) and an unscripted talent competition (“Triple Threat”). Trevena will also appear in the scripted comedy “Porn Moms” from ES Beyond. “Porn Moms” follows a financially strapped young mother who is presented with an enticing offer to join a group of moms who all share the same secret—ghostwriting porn. Trevena’s additional credits include “Joyride” on Esquire, “Ollywood” (FOX) and guest appearances on FOX’s “The Good Guys,” TNT’s “Leverage” and ABC’s “The Forgotten.”
World renowned and Grammy Award-winning music director Dave Meyers recently directed Endemol Shine Beyond’s YouTube Red holiday special “The Keys of Christmas.” Meyers has created and is now developing a scripted music series, as well as a music-driven VR project with Endemol Shine Beyond. Meyer’s credits include Katy Perry’s “Firework,” Pink’s “Just Like Fire” and Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been.”
Kyle Newman is an accomplished filmmaker whose directorial credits encompass a wide array of feature films including “The Hollow,” “Fanboys” and “Barely Lethal.” He has also directed music videos for some of the industry’s top artists including Taylor Swift (“Style”, "Clean"), Lana Del Rey (“Summertime Sadness”) and created the video content for Swift’s “The 1989 World Tour.” He will direct both unscripted and scripted projects for ES Beyond, including “Porn Moms” with Trevena.
Alexander Delgado is a producer and production designer and the creative force behind music videos for Bruno Mar’s “Gorilla,” Lady Gaga’s “G.U.Y,” and Fergie’s “M.I.L.F.$.” Delgado, who led design efforts for ES Beyond’s recent special “The Keys of Christmas,” is developing a number of projects including urban art series “Blank Spaces.”
Michael Parenteau is a leading commercial director who’s overseen spots for Audi, Louis Vuitton, the NBA, Red Bull, Hugo Boss and more. Parenteau, who also directed the award-winning documentary “The Search For Freedom,” is developing docu-series “Silence” for ES Beyond. The project explores what the world would be like without music and takes us on an intimate look into the minds of musicians and listeners. Exploring how music affects the mind, body and soul – and connects people from all walks of life – with an exclusive POV from artists, scientists, music experts and fans themselves.
With a career spanning 20 years, Lauren Selig is a veteran film producer whose credits include the Oscar-nominated “Hacksaw Ridge,” as well as “Lone Survivor” and “Everest.” Selig is currently co-producing ES Beyond’s upcoming VR series “Capturing Everest.”
Peter Martin is a producer, writer and director. He’s producing ES Beyond’s “Capturing Everest” with Selig and also developing several music and unscripted projects with Beyond in VR.
