Authentic Entertainment Promotes Jeffrey L. Weaver And Paul Halperin To Executive Vice President Roles
April 6 2017 - Authentic Entertainment has named Jeffrey L. Weaver, Executive Vice President, Production and Content, and Paul Halperin, Executive Vice President, Business & Finance, it was announced today by Lauren Lexton, Co-Founder and CEO, Authentic Entertainment.
Authentic Entertainment, a subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America, also announced that Nneka Enurah has been named Vice President, Multi-Platform & Partnerships and Deb Jackson, Vice President of Production.
Authentic is the production company behind such unscripted hits as “Toddlers & Tiaras,” “Flipping Out,” “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” “Ace of Cakes,” “Best Thing I Ever Ate” and the upcoming return of “Trading Spaces” for TLC. In addition, GSN just announced its picked up UK game show “Pointless” to development. “Pointless,” which is based on the successful format from Endemol Shine’s Remarkable Television, will be produced by Authentic for GSN.

Formerly Senior Vice President of Current Programming at Authentic, Weaver has overseen 16 original TV series, four digital series and six pilots since joining the company in 2011. Weaver received two Emmy nominanations for the reboot of A&E’s “Interviention” and served as Showrunner on TLC’s hit “Little People, Big World.” Weaver also ran the inaugural season of the breakout series “Tanked” for Animal Planet and three seasons of “Auction Kings” on Discovery Channel. Weaver has a BA in Telecommunication & Film from the University of Alabama. He now lives in Los Angeles, CA.
Halperin, who was formerly Senior Vice President, Finance and Risk Management at Authentic, manages all business and financial matters for the company. Halperin joined Authentic in 2008, from Broadview Media, where he spent eight years as a production manager, executive in charge of production, and executive producer.
In addition to his work in television, Halperin has produced commercials, concerts, and corporate events for companies including Target, Northwest Airlines, and General Mills – along with music artists that include The Rolling Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Billy Joel. Halperin has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences.
In her new role, Enurah will lead creative development efforts for original video content across all platforms and is tasked with establishing new strategic partnerships in the digital space. Enurah recently sold the branded series "Glow With Me," featuring beauty expert and skincare line founder Ole Henriksen. She was also responsible for the sale of "Breaking Bass,” a docu-series commissioned by Complex Network's digital channel Rated Red. The show is slated to premiere this summer on Verizon Go90, a mobile, ad-supported video service.
Prior to joining Authentic Entertainment, Enurah developed and produced both digital and television content for leading global media company POPSUGAR, where she helped lead lifestyle programming efforts and created branded content for clients including Nike, Crest, Levi’s, Dr. Pepper, and St. Ives.
Jackson joined Authentic in 2006, as Production Manager and eventually moved to up to Line Producer, where she was awarded an Emmy for her work on Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Made.” Before this most recent promotion to Vice President, Production, Jackson oversaw the production department on more than 30 series for networks such as Bravo, TLC, HGTV, Travel Channel, Food Network and History Channel.
Prior to joining Authenthic, Jackson was a freelance production manager on several films, commercials and multi-camera live shows and worked four seasons on Fox’s long-standing hit series “The Simpsons.” Jackson holds a BA in Radio, Television and Film from California State University at Long Beach.
