Marisa Hammonds Named Senior Vice President, Digital, Marketing & Research At Endemol Shine North America
March 30, 2017 - Marisa Hammonds has been named Senior Vice President, Digital, Marketing & Research at Endemol Shine North America, it was announced today by Vivi Zigler, President, Digital, Brand & Audience Development, Endemol Shine North America, to whom she reports.
Hammonds now oversees digital & social media, as well as marketing and research across all of Endemol Shine North America’s shows, including those of its digital studio, Endemol Shine Beyond USA. Hammonds originally joined Shine America in April 2011, and worked across the company’s digital content and social media strategy.
Endemol Shine North America’s VP of Marketing Rob Hughes and VP of Research and Insights, Kevin Ivey, will both now report to Hammonds. Hammonds, Hughes and Ivey all formerly reported to Zigler. Tamaya Petteway, who recently accepted responsibility for Licensing, as well as the company’s brand team, will continue in her role as SVP, Brand & Licensing Partnerships, reporting to Zigler.
“Marisa is that rare executive with both creative instincts and business acumen,” says Zigler. “Her expertise in both digital and social media will serve her well in this newly expanded role.”

Hammonds originally joined Shine America in April 2011, and worked across the company’s digital content and social media strategy. In her new role, three distinct groups come together to grow and engage audiences with compelling content across multiple platforms.
Hammonds and her teams also support Endemol Shine’s Brand & Licensing Partnerships, adding their expertise to live events and products spanning major franchises such as “MasterChef” and “MasterChef Junior” and “The Biggest Loser.”
She most recently served as Vice President, Digital & Social Media at Endemol Shine North America. In that role, Hammonds worked closely with network partners to develop and execute cross-promotional partnerships, digital content and social media activations for the company's TV series. She has launched innovative partnerships with Facebook, Twitter, Spotify, Shazam, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Google Hangouts.
For Season 3 of "MasterChef," she oversaw the launch of a MasterChef mobile app and a robust social content strategy, which won “Best Multiplatform Project” at RealScreen West. Prior to joining the company, Hammonds worked at a digital advertising startup and before that in consulting for one of the nation’s leading hospital revenue review consultancies based up in San Francisco. Hammonds lives in LA and holds a BA from Stanford University.
