Rob Day Named EVP, Head Of Unscripted Production For Endemol Shine USA
April 19, 2016 - Rob Day has been named Executive Vice President, Head of Unscripted Production for Endemol Shine USA, the unscripted division of Endemol Shine North America. The announcement was made today by Eden Gaha, President, Unscripted Televion, Endemol Shine USA.
Additionally, Jesse Kerns has been named Senior Vice President, Unscripted Production and Kirk Anderson has been promoted to Vice President, Unscripted Production, Endemol Shine USA. Both Kerns and Anderson report to Day, while Day now reports to Gaha.
Endemol Shine USA currently produces such hit unscripted series as “MasterChef” (FOX), “MasterChef Junior” (FOX), “Big Brother” (CBS), “The Biggest Loser” (NBC), “Billion Dollar Buyer” (CNBC), “Steve Harvey” (Syndicated/NBCU) and upcoming series “Hunted” (CBS) and “Superhuman” (FOX).
“Rob is the consummate professional and has a tremendous amount of experience in both coordinating and producing many of the biggest unscripted hits of the last decade,” says Gaha. “And with our continued growth in the unscripted space, Rob has assembled a best in class team, led by both Jesse and Kirk, to oversee all of our additional development and series.”
Day, who has been with the company since December 2006, oversees production on such series as "MasterChef," "MasterChef Junior," "The Biggest Loser," "Hunted," "Billion Dollar Buyer," “Superhuman” and daytime syndicated show “Steve Harvey.” Day is a seasoned production executive with over 18 years of experience working in various television formats including unscripted, game, variety, talk, award, and event. Prior to joining the corporate ranks at Endemol USA, Day served as Executive-In-Charge of Production for the Emmy Award-winning series “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
Kerns, who was named Senior Vice President, Production, joins Endemol Shine from Relativity Television, where he had also served as Senior Vice President, Production. Kerns oversaw production of all unscripted television produced by Relativity since 2012. Before joining Relativity Television, now Critical Content, Kerns spent 10 years line-producing and in production management on a wide variety of unscripted series including “Wipeout,” (ABC), “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader” (FOX), “Deal or No Deal” (NBC) “Breakthrough with Tony Robbins” and “Fear Factor.”
Anderson, who was named Vice President, Production, Endemol Shine USA, has been with the company since 2012. He previously served as Executive Director of Production, where he’s produced multiple shows from inception to sale and through delivery. While at Endemol Shine, Anderson has worked on such series as “Billion Dollar Buyer” (CNBC), “Restaurant Startup” (CNBC), “Tabatha Takes Over” (Bravo), “Minute to Win It” (GSN) and “Forage Wars” (NatGeo).
Previously, Anderson worked on such series “Dancing With the Stars” (ABC), “The Apprentice” (NBC), “The Contender” (ESPN) and “The Bachelor” (ABC).
