Among others joining are Broderville Pictures, Cineflix, Hot Snakes Media, October Films, ProMedia, Propagate Content, Phiphen Pictures, Punched in the Head, Talos Films and 2CMedia. Additionally, Audio Network becomes its first associate member.
PactUS President David Lyle said, “With these outstanding independent production companies forming the nucleus of our organization, and other significant U.S. players poised to join with us in the weeks and months ahead, our attention now turns to giving them all of the support they need to succeed. Specifically, our aim is to offer them everything to take advantage of emerging opportunities both here and globally, while also helping them to navigate all of the ups, downs and complexities of a vital, constantly evolving independent production business.”
Added Ben Samek, Chief Operating Officer, Endemol Shine North America, “Our company has enjoyed a long, successful relationship with Pact in Europe and we're now looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together here in the U.S.”
As a first step in increasing the participation of its member companies in the international market, Mr. Lyle disclosed PactUS will sponsor the USA Pavilion dedicated exclusively to the independent television and content production community at the Hong Kong International Film & TV Market. It will host a membership delegation at the March 14-17 market to meet with buyers, format sellers, potential co-production partners and investors from across the region, including China, South Korea, Singapore, Australia and Japan.
The PactUS member production companies headed to Hong Kong will be accompanied by Matt Gould, EVP, PactUS, who oversees East coast operations for the organization, and receive reimbursement for a significant portion of their travel and accommodation expenses.
Launched in 2015, PactUS is an association dedicated to helping U.S.-based independent non-fiction and scripted production member companies improve their businesses now and in the future.
