Page Six TV Social Media Manager

Job Purpose:
Page Six TV seeks a forward-thinking Social Media Manager to manage and grow the show’s social media presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the social media landscape and how to apply the latest social trends to the entertainment space. Additionally, this position requires strong creative skills, particularly in pop culture and entertainment, and will be responsible for developing compelling yet executable social media ideas on a daily basis. The position is full-time and based in New York. It will have a dual report to both the Executive Producer, Page Six TV in New York and the Director, Digital & Social Media, Endemol Shine North America in Los Angeles.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute innovative creative ideas based on the show’s production schedule, with the goal of engaging social media audiences and driving viewers to the show
  • Work with producers to locate and ideate best performing content for social channels
  • Provide daily, ongoing management for the show’s social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. This will include copywriting and community management.
  • Produce shareable gifs/memes
  • Keep a tab on social media activity around the show and relay feedback internally as needed
  • Track, analyze, optimize and report on social media analytics on a weekly basis
  • Be show’s point person for hosts, guest hosts, plus ones for any and all social media asks including but not limited to iPhone captures, troubleshooting and/or guidance

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Based in New York
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Two to three years’ specialized experience in social media, preferably with a media, entertainment and/or content company
  • Demonstrated hands-on copywriting skills and the ability to produce prolific daily content customized to each platform
  • Strong project management and time management skills and the ability to prioritize while managing multiple accounts
  • Strong writing and creative development experience in the pop culture and/or comedy spaces
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and create flat content and other shareable assets.  Experience with photo editing software such as Photoshop and basic design capabilities for social media is a plus
  • Savvy about current social media trends and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player with an exceptional attitude; ability to collaborate effectively with various teams
  • Knowledge of various tools of the trade (e.g. CMS and analytics tools such as Photoshop, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout Social Guide, Facebook Analytics, Canvs etc.)
  • Experience working in a television production environment is a plus
  • Experience working in a talent/celebrity driven environment is a plus

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years or older
